World Music Central is a portal dedicated to world music, which the founders define as traditional and contemporary folk and roots music from the entire globe, as well as cross-cultural fusions and hybrids. Its concept of world music is very broad and includes roots music that is usually marketed separately from world music, such as reggae, bluegrass, blues, Cajun, etc.
